front-row seat for all the fast-paced fun as the
Greatest Spectacle in Tortoise Racing returns for an
amazing 31st year! The focus in the Dean's Arena
will turn to our beautifully colored radiated
tortoises as they race toward the checkered flag and
a platter of delicious fruits and veggies. See past
IRL IndyCar Series champ and honorary steward Tony
Kanaan, and after the race, meet our speedy
tortoises and learn about the Zoo's efforts to save
these endangered animals.

This multi-part event featured selected
artists painting on Zoo grounds "en plein air" on
April 28 - and the art
that is naturally inspired! The works of art
will then be on display at the Gardens all summer,
and then sold at a special auction and artists
reception on August 23, with all proceeds
benefitting the Zoo. Join us for this unique
event!

Don't miss the best party in town when we gather
once again for Zoobilation! With multiple
entertainers on stages throughout the Zoo and the
tasty samples of food treats and beverages from the
best restaurants in Central Indiana, this is an
event not to be missed. The Zoo is Closed all day
just to prepare. Tickets are SOLD OUT.
 Zoolapalooza
Friday nights: June 15-July 13
This "wildly" popular concert series is back for a
second year. The Zoo will have you rockin’ the night
away with live music performed by local bands. Plus,
enjoy delicious food and drinks at our full buffet
and bar while you unwind to the sounds of your
favorite songs. The Zoo will have extended hours for
the five concert evenings, June 15 through July 13.

Lion Awareness Weekend presented by BMO Harris Bank
June 23-24
Learn more about our three amazing lions — male
Nyack, and females Shamfa and Zuri. Keepers will
host special chats and you can even get your hands
on actual lion enrichment items and artifacts. Don't
miss this "grrrreat" event to celebrate the king of
beasts!
