Seal, Sea Lion, or Walrus Art Adventure

Can you name our fin-footed friends? They are scientifically known as pinnipeds - coming from the Latin words "pinna" meaning "fin" and "pedis" meaning "foot". We have three animals in the pinniped family, including our seals, sea lions, and walrus.

A Pinniped Art Adventure will take you and three guests (up to four total participants) behind the scenes to meet one of our animal artists that will create a painting just for you to take home. Participants will go behind the scenes in the holding area, meet a seal, sea lion, or walrus and learn about some of things that make them unique in the group and help choose the color palette for the painting. (Please note that one of the three will be chosen for your adventure - not all three. Also, we do not accept special requests for the pinniped used.)

Participants must call the Adventure Line at (317) 630-2076 to make a reservation (online reservations for this program are not available). Participants will meet an Adventure Guide in the Hix Institute (formally the Education Center) who will guide them on this Adventure.

Cost for the Pinniped Art Adventure is $250. Choose a date below for this adventure! Start time is 12:30pm.

• Participants of an Animal Art Adventure must be at least six years old. If a participant is under the age of 14 years they must be accompanied by a paid adult participant.
• Participants of an Animal Art Adventure must have a signed Waiver of Liability before beginning the Adventure. Participants under the age of 18 years will need this waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
• If someone in the group has a special need or mobility issue, please contact us in advance so that we can better accommodate the need.
